GENNADY DZUBENKO graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory under prof. Michail Mezlumov, Lev Vlassenko and Mikhail Pletnev and entered headily into a concert life. He has performed extensively in Germany, France, Spain, USA, Australia, Japan, Luxembourg, Portugal, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania.
From 2001 Gennady Dzubenko combines a concert activity with a professorship: as a Dean of Piano department in Music Academy name after A. Shnittke in Moscow (Russia), as a professor of International courses of interpretation “De Música de Ripoll” (Spain), “Isaac Albeniz” in Camprodon (Spain), Cours Internacional “Felipp Pedrell” Tortosa, “Curs de la Musica de Vic” etc.
Mr Dzubenko records regularly for CDs and radio and TV transmissions. His discography includes: three solo CDs “Russian Music of Art Nouveau”, “Liszt, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev” (RCD D 30107 2001), “P.Tchaikowsky”(RCD 2002), with spanish pianist Joan Amils – “Music by Isaac Albeniz” ( ARS HARMONICA 2000.), CD “Duo Palau-Dzubenko”(RCD 30 307) and three CDs by Romantic Trio.
As adjudicator he regularly participates in international piano competitions: International “Gina Bachauer Piano Competition” (Salt Lake City 2004,2010,2018 USA), “Eugenie Berdet International Piano Competition” (2011, 2012, 2014, Barcelona, Spain), “Florestano Rossomandi International Piano Competition” (Foggia, 2007, Italy), Eastman School Piano Competition (Rochester,2012,USA), Singapore piano Competition (2013), 2nd Steinway Youth Piano Competition (Singapore, 2014).
He is currently professor of piano at the Conservatory Isaac Albeniz in Girona and professor of Piano at the Musical Arts Academy “LUTHIER” in Barcelona (Spain), and is Director of International Music Festival and artistic director of International Music Cours Isaac Albeniz in Camprodon, Spain.
